Video Subtitle Generator

Upload a video and generate subtitles and transcripts instantly.

How the subtitle generator works

  1. 1.Upload a lesson video in mp4, mov, webm, or another common format. A single upload can run up to one hour.
  2. 2.TutorFlow transcribes the audio and returns timed subtitles alongside the full transcript.
  3. 3.Fix any misheard terms in the built-in editor, set the subtitle styling, then export an SRT file or keep the transcript.

What affects transcription quality

Transcription follows audio quality. Clear speech with little background noise transcribes closely, while overlapping speakers, room echo, and specialist vocabulary produce more errors. Subject terms, proper nouns, and acronyms are the words most often misheard, so review those before a lesson goes out.

Questions about generating subtitles

How long can the video be?
Up to one hour per upload. Split longer recordings before uploading them.
Can I edit the subtitles after they are generated?
Yes. The editor lets you correct wording and timing, and you can also open an existing SRT file to edit it without generating anything new.
What can I export?
Subtitles download as an SRT file, and you also get the full transcript as text.
